Au Bon Pain recently recognized Notre Dame Campus Dining’s Hesburgh Library location as Franchise of the Year. Jennifer Godfrey, Retail Manager of the Library Au Bon Pain, received the award on behalf of Campus Dining at the International Company and Franchise Conference on November 29, 2016 in Boston. It’s a great honor for Campus Dining and the collective work of many members of the staff and management team.

The Au Bon Pain award committee selected the Campus Dining location using the following criteria:

  • Outstanding sales growth
  • Quality of operations
  • Brand compliance
  • Top 10% in quarterly standards audits
  • Customer satisfaction

In addition to these achievements, Campus Dining’s Au Bon Pain was able to grow their sales during a period of major renovation in the Hesburgh Library and earned the title of #1 food vendor on campus. Last year alone, their transactions totaled 330,500. They produce approximately 86,000 cups of coffee, 29,000 cookies and 80,000 sandwiches and wraps each year, drawing customers from across campus.

Campus Dining also operates an Au Bon Pain coffee cart in Debartolo Hall and an Au Bon Pain Express and Catering location in the Hesburgh Center for International Studies.

This is the second time the Campus Dining’s Au Bon Pain was awarded Franchise of the Year; they received the honor in 2014 as well.

Au Bon Pain numbers over 300 café bakeries worldwide, including stores in India and Thailand.

Congratulations to the Campus Dining Au Bon Pain Team!
