While students were on winter break, you would think that the food service staff would be on a break, too - since there is no one to feed! This is not the case for NDFS employees, though. They utilizes this time to train and further their job knowledge and experience. Employees may learn about Foodborne Illnesses, Blood Borne Pathogens, or even Customer Service. In 2012 the NDFS staff logged a total of 17,699 training hours, that’s an average of 36.72 hours per employee.
