Campus Dining server Ashley Stokes was named Restaurant Employee of the Year: Front of the House at the Indiana Restaurant and Lodging Association’s annual Stars of the Industry Awards Dinner in Indianapolis on November 13, 2019. This award recognizes an individual who consistently goes above and beyond their job duties to provide outstanding customer service in the hospitality industry through professionalism, teamwork and guest interactions.
Ashley has been a server at Legends of Notre Dame Restaurant and Alehouse Pub since 2013. “Ashley is truly the heart and soul of our restaurant. She is an integral part of creating and maintaining all training, cleaning, and side work projects that we do,” says Kat Lyvers, operations manager of Legends. "She is always the first one to pick up an extra shift to help out, or even work in an area outside of her normal job. Whether it be helping at the bar or hostess stand or even wristbanding at the door during a football Saturday after already working a long shift on the floor, Ashley is a truly selfless person. She is a blessing for our team here at Legends.”
Also nominated and recognized from Campus Dining was Israel Mitchell for Restaurant Employee of the Year: Back of the House.
