Notre Dame Food Services is excited to announce a new dining addition to LaFortune! After talking with and receiving feedback from several groups of students, we are now working with Taco Bell and Pizza Hut with the goal of opening concepts in the current location of Sbarro.
Since opening our first franchise (Burger King) in 1998, the mix of venues in the Huddle has been the same since 2003. Over the years this group of dining options has served millions of meals. Moving forward, though, we have identified opportunities to improve our offerings to better meet the needs of the students. LaFortune Student Center and the Huddle are key locations to student life.
The combination of Pizza Hut and Taco Bell allows us to continue to offer pizza, a popular late night option, while expanding the late night offerings to include tacos. Not just a destination for late night dining, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell will be open during the day as well.
As other contracts expire in the Huddle, NDFS will have other opportunities to change and satisfy our customers. Since our newest addition includes Taco Bell, we will be preparing to replace Buen Provecho (located in the Huddle Mart) with a new brand in order to maximize variety. Other opportunities to change other spaces on the main floor of the Huddle will be presented in the future.
