Surely you have seen ice carvings at various events on campus. Have you ever wondered where they come from, though? Notre Dame Food Services is proud to have three accomplished ice carvers on their team. Danny Bloss, Howard Busfield, and Mike Evans use their skills not only to enhance the special events in the dining halls and on campus, but also to compete in ice carving competitions in our area. In January, Mike took 1st place at the Fire and Ice Festival in Goshen, Indiana. Danny just got back from competing in Texas, finishing 6th amongst 3 world champions and 3 regional champions. Pictured here in Niles, they also will be participating in festivals in Granger, Warsaw, South Haven, and St. Joseph this winter. On the evening of January 25th the team will be doing an ice carving demonstration outside of LaFortune.
