Kristina Aalfs

Kristina “Tina” Aalfs serves as Retail Director, bringing nearly three decades of experience in student dining and retail operations. Guided by a servant leadership philosophy and a deep commitment to meeting the evolving needs of students, she began her career at North Dining Hall, where she spent 17 years building a strong foundation in student dining services.

Tina later transitioned into retail operations, successfully managing popular campus locations including Recker’s Café, Pizza Pi, and 1844 Café, as well as Murphy’s at Saint Mary’s College. In these roles, she elevated both the guest experience and overall operational performance.

She returned to the main campus as Assistant Director of Retail Dining for the Duncan Student Center, where she played a key role in expanding retail dining initiatives. Most notably, Tina led the introduction of Chick-fil-A concessions across major venues, including Notre Dame Stadium, the Joyce Center, and Compton Family Ice Arena.

With years of dedicated service, Tina is recognized for her operational expertise, commitment to excellence, and passion for enhancing the campus dining experience.
